Background Information
This is a measurement of the total Z cross
section times the branching ratio into muons using 337 pb-1 of data taken
between Aug 2002 and Aug 2004.
Some parts of the analysis were taken from the 72 pb-1
analysis and not recalculated with the new dataset.
These are things we assumed did not change significantly.
- Systematic uncertainties associated with the PDFs
- Systematic uncertainties associated with momentum scaling and smearing
- Systematic uncertainties associated with the production
model used in the simulation which was used to generate
the pseudorapidity and PT distributions of the Z bosons
- Background estimates for Z decay to tau's,
diboson production, and top production
See PRL 94, 091803 and hep-ex/0508029 for details of the 72 pb-1
analysis.
Everything else was recalculated using the 337 pb-1 dataset
and new simulation.
